Trees Care

At Arbor Pride we recognize how much you value your trees and shrubs and and also how they add value to your property. By carrying out the correct arboricultural and horticultural operations (as listed below), we are able to maximise your plants longevity, enhance their aesthetics, encourage future growth and minimise any potential danger.

Trees and large shrubs benefit greatly from regular expert attention. Attention may involve one or more of the following:

  • Pruning to AS4373/96 Standard - to ensure the correct arboricultural techniques are used by tree technicians so that a tree's health might be maximised; and also to prevent unnecessary damage occurring by poor practice.
  • Deadwooding - this is the removal of dead, dying or diseased wood from a tree canopy to maximise tree health; minimise danger; encourage healthy new growth; and enhancing the trees aesthetic qualities.
  • Palm Tree Care Sydney.Crown Thinning - this is the selective pruning of 10-25% (depending on branch density) of the tree's canopy (which will also include the removal of weak, dead, dying and diseased growth) to allow increased light filtration into a dark area; maximise tree health; encourage branch vigour; and enhancing the trees aesthetic qualities.
  • Removal Of Epicormic Growth - this is the removal of excessive minor growth and branches that have formed through tree stress or damage that may have occurred, that will prevent the development of weak and dangerous growth; to concentrate growth into the trees healthy branches for a better formed tree; encourage tree health; and enhancing the trees aesthetic qualities.
  • Removal Of Reverted Growth - this is the removal of growth on a grafted or hybridised tree, that may of reverted back to the tree's root stock species or the tree's dominant hybridised species, so that the trees intended species might be maintained; and enhancing the grafted or hybridised trees aesthetic qualities.
  • Crown Lifting - this is the removal of lower branches of a tree canopy to enhance a view; improving the shape of a tree; create space for under planting, buildings, and people; limit animals access to buildings i.e. roofs; to prevent damage to buildings and structures; reduce the amount of maintenance through tree debris; and enhancing the trees aesthetic qualities.
  • Crown Reduction & Shaping - this may be the light removal of branching or the reduction of the trees canopy by 15 - 30%, in order to improve the shape of a tree; enhance or create a view; reducing the trees danger by limiting the risk of wind throw; enhancing the shape of a tree; reducing the size of a tree due to space pressures; creating space; encouraging tree health; and enhancing the trees aesthetic qualities.
  • Pest & Disease Control - cultural, biological or chemical (only where necessary) methods of control are used to maintain tree health and aesthetics; minimising the tree's physical danger; and preventing the spread of pest and disease to other plants.
  • Care for Tree Sydney.Cabling & Bracing- either of these techniques can be used to secure a tree that has weak limbs and trunk.
  • Establishment - of a young tree by beneficial pruning, correct planting methods, training, mulching, fertilising and irrigation. This will encourage a healthy vigorous tree, with a good branch structure and shape.
  • Established Tree Maintenance - other than all the different types of pruning (as listed above), the health of a tree may also be enhanced by weed control, mulching, irrigation, soil aeration and fertilising.
  • Remedial Pruning - this is the on-going pruning of the tree that is not included in the catagories listed above. They might include light pruning, the removal of a branch that may be in the way or the removal of storm damage.

At Arbor Pride all of the above operations are carried out by fully qualified arborists, and not just "tree loppers". The importance we place in having the correct staff ensures that damage does not occur to your trees and shrubs through untrained operators. It is for this reason that Arbor Pride attach's such importance to training; staff, are provided with ongoing training throughout the year to keep up to date with all the latest arboricultural knowledge and techniques.
